CONDEV has won the contract to deliver the first three stages of Cedar Woods $180 million masterplanned community in Wooloowin.
The first stage of Queensland masterplanned community, Greville, has already sold out after unveiling plans for the community in September of last year. second release will feature an additional 15 terrace homes, priced from $779,000 and including three-bedroom layouts.
The community will sit five kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and will feature a mix of terrace homes, apartments and heritage residences, with four different floorplans. Greville will also include a 4,000 sqm community park.
Around 100 construction jobs are expected to be created when Queensland based Condev begins works on stage one of the Rothelowman Architects designed development.
“With the addition of Condev, we have an absolutely A-Grade team working on every aspect of Greville,” said Peter Starr, senior development manager at Cedar Woods.
“It was important for us to find a builder that could do the site and the unique design of these terrace homes justice, and give buyers confidence in the end product, and that’s why we have chosen Condev,” he said.
Cedar Woods intends on delivering “classic Queenslander-style” properties that will fit into the Wooloowin visual landscape, with homes in the first stage being built on an elevated site that will allow the Brisbane skyline to become a backdrop.
“Condev has an extensive track record in delivering a range of boutique townhome projects over the past ten years,” said Steve Marais, managing director at Condev.
“Despite a general slowing of the South East Queensland construction sector during the coronavirus pandemic, Condev has taken all the necessary steps to forge ahead with business as usual,” he said.
“This ultimately saw an increase in our workbook across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, with the provision of hundreds of construction jobs expected to aid in the COVID-19 economic recovery,”
“We look forward to starting construction on Greville and can’t wait to see the project come to life,” concluded Marais.
First stage works are expected to commence in 2021.
