QUEENSLAND-based developer Paul Spina is heading up a consortium to lodge a development application for a new residential project on the Gold Coast’s Palm Beach.
The code-assessable development application covers plans for 41 luxury residential apartments across eight levels at the 1,237sqm site at 1409-1411 Gold Coast Highway, sitting just 50m from the beachfront and 500m from the Palm Beach CBD.
The apartments will include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, some of which will also include home office spaces, while all will include secure parking with options for EV charging stations.
The Cottee Parker-designed project will feature a wellness-centred recreational area on its ground floor, with hot and cold pools, a steam room and day beds. While other amenities will include a private dining room and board room.
The consortium is moving ahead with the development in hopes of tapping into the ongoing high demand for premium residential dwellings on the Gold Coast’s southern beaches, with vacancy rates all across the country still at historic lows and developers unable to keep up with supply needs.
“This development enjoys a location that is quintessential north Palm Beach that meets demand for high-quality apartments with modern amenity,” said Nicholas Clydsdale, senior director of residential projects at CBRE, who has been appointed to manage the marketing of the project.
“It has been designed to appeal to the local owner-occupier market with a diversity of residences including one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, all within a boutique beachside building.”
Clydsdale added that Palm Beach, as a maturing suburb, is bringing in a wide range of businesses, as well as new infrastructure and popular food offerings, with some of the city’s best cafes and restaurants sitting within walking distance of the development site.
“This tower will have everything a buyer could want or need within easy reach, including convenient access to the M1 Motorway and Gold Coast Airport, which is just 15 minutes away. In addition, stage 4 of the light rail network is in the pipeline for Palm Beach, which will offer residents supreme convenience and connectivity,” concluded Clydsdale.
Subject to approval of the lodged DA, the Palm Beach project is set to be launched this July.
