BILLBERGIA has launched stage four of its $2.5 billion master planned community, Rhodes Central, which will bring 126 apartments over 15 levels.
Rhodes Central Oasis, at 39 Marquet Street, will feature a range of apartment configurations including six one-bedroom apartments, 64 two-bedroom and 56 three-bedroom apartments. Resident facilities will include an expansive swimming pool with private cabanas, a splash pad for children and a calming spa set within a lush tropical garden, and a poolside grill area.
The Rhodes Central neighbourhood covers approximately two hectares and will be home to five water view buildings on the Rhodes peninsula. It will deliver a combined total of 1,500 apartments and a central plaza and workspaces linked to Rhodes station.
Vertical gardens will adorn Oasis’ glass façades designed by SJB Architects, providing panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and city infrastructure.
“We are excited to launch a modern residential building that combines a serene retreat with the excitement of the city. Our vision was to give residents the best of both worlds and offer a true sense of place,” said Billbergia sales director, Lulu Chen.
“Residents can find everything right on their doorstep, with a vibrant dining and entertainment precinct next door and a range of recreational options.
Oasis is expected to attract locals wanting to upsize to accommodate a growing family and downsizers.
Rhodes Central residents enjoy an average family income of $100,000 or more, according to the 2016 Census, with the highest representation of post-graduate degrees in Sydney, ahead of upmarket Woollahra.
There are 12,000 people already living within walking distance of the town centre and Oasis creates space for an additional 400 people.
The Rhodes Central shopping centre is home to 55 shops and services including a Woolworths supermarket, health and wellness services, and Bamboo Lane, a destination dining precinct that channels Asian food markets.
A 9,100 square metre recreation centre provides a health and wellbeing space with multipurpose courts, a gym, cafe, co-working and quiet areas, a health club and spaces for active play such as badminton. It also includes an early childhood centre and outdoor landscaped spaces.
Director of SJB Architects, John Pradel said Oasis embraces naturalistic living as one of its core design principles.
“The design offers a variety of living typologies that cater to a diverse and emerging demographic,” Pradel said.
Prices range from $649,000 for a 58 to 78 sqm one-bedroom apartment. Two-bedroom units are priced between $820,000 and $1,015,000 for a 90 sqm space. Three-bedroom apartments start from $1,350,000 for a space ranging between 112-116 sqm.
Construction of Oasis Tower has commenced, with completion anticipated for mid-2025.
