THE Western Australian government is unlocking more industrial land in Perth’s northern corridor, boosting supply with another seven lots of Stage 2B at Meridian Park Industrial Estate.
Following the release of 11 lots at the estate in mid-November, the seven new lots are located two kilometres from Wanneroo Road and four kilometres from the Mitchell Freeway and range in size from 2,174sqm to 10,476sqm.
With uses ranging from warehousing, logistics, robotics, mining services, engineering, and general construction, the industrial land also benefit from its close proximity to the recently opened $28 million Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct.
“With 11 lots just released in November 2024, the Cook Government has moved forward to make an additional seven industrial lots available at the growing Meridian Park Industrial Estate,” said John Carey, lands minister.
“Located in the same precinct as the $28 million Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct, these new lots provide more opportunities to diversify the WA economy and create more local jobs.”
The fully developed Stage 2B will create more than 160 new local ongoing full-time jobs and will generate an estimated $61 million in annual economic output.
The lots are also available to be amalgamated, with titles anticipated in the second half of 2025.
The release comes after Western Australian government’s transport authority paid nearly $30 million to acquire a 4.29-hectare site opposite the Royal Fremantle Golf Course in the state’s largest sale for an industrial landholding back in September.
