Walker Corporation has successfully leased out its first two commercial buildings at Rhodes Waterside.
The latest tenants to sign up include Coffey Environments, The Churches of Christ, Rehau, Servier Laboratories and Today Corporation, the majority of which are consolidating their headquarters at Rhodes and moving out of the city, North Sydney, Silverwater and Parramatta.
These companies will now join Bank of Queensland, Sita Environmental, Esanda, AAP, Guthy-Renker, Video Ezy and Cardlink, which are already operating their businesses in the first two “state of the art” buildings at Australia’s largest privately funded property development.
Following the successful leasing of more than 25,000 sqm at 1 and 3 Rider Boulevard, the third building will commence construction in early 2007.
Walker Corporation is in negotiation with a number of companies to become anchor tenants within the next commercial building that will offer floor plates ranging up to 2,500 sqm in a total building area of 25,000 sqm.
Walker’s executive chairman Lang Walker, said many companies are consolidating their Sydney offices in the Rhodes Waterside commercial precinct as it offers great access and amenities for staff, including the shopping centre, child care facilities, medical centre, gymnasium, cinemas and open, waterfront space.
“In addition Rhodes Waterside has more than 2,000 car spaces, car fly-overs off Homebush Bay Drive, as well as close access to the newly renovated Rhodes Railway Station,” he added.
Rhodes Waterside is a $1.2 billion urban renewal development comprising a thriving commercial precinct, Rhodes Shopping Centre and waterfront residential apartments.
