CAMPING and outdoor retailer Anaconda has signed a long-term lease for a showroom at the Hoppers Crossing bulky goods precinct in Melbourne's south-west.
CBRE’s Scott Littler negotiated the deal on behalf of a private lessor.
Anaconda has taken a 10-year lease for 2,200 sqm of space at 319 Old Geelong Rd, approximately 25km south-west of Melbourne’s CBD. Located in the Hoppers Crossing bulky goods precinct, the store recently underwent significant refurbishments.
Littler said the retail strip continues to be one of the most tightly held bulky goods precincts in the state, with CBRE negotiating several leases in the area recently, including a 1,374 sqm showroom at 269 Old Geelong Rd to Focus on Furniture.
“Hoppers Crossing is of great appeal to national retailers and Anaconda recognised the potential that the building held with excellent profile on the busy Old Geelong retail strip,” Littler said.
