Healesville, VIC
The Brown Family Wine Group has put up for sale the freehold going concern of their award-winning winery Innocent Bystander’s renowned Healesville cellar door the esteemed Yarra Valley.
Colliers agents Lucas Soccio, Ben Baines, Duncan McCulloch and James Zhuang are managing the expressions of interest campaign, which closes on December 4th.
Located at 334 Maroondah Highway, the 800 sqm property sits on 1,458 sqm of land, giving flexibility for future owners to maintain the current operations or endeavour new ventures.
The asset was first acquired by Brown Family Wine Group in 2016, which has continually invested in the site over the years, with a substantial upgrade completed in 2017. It boasts a state-of-the-art kitchen and pizza oven, L-shaped bar that can accommodate multiple tastings, private dining room, and outdoor garden space, and is suited for a wide range of events, from intimate gatherings to corporate functions and live performances.
The Brown Family Wine Group has been producing wines for over 130 years and has evolved from a single brand to a family of brands that now includes Brown Brothers, Devil’s Corner, Tamar Ridge, Pirie, and Innocent Bystander. The decision to sell comes as the Group announces a new strategic direction for Innocent Bystander, as the brand moves beyond its Yarra Valley roots to engage a broader consumer base.
