Brookfield has bought a new industrial facility in the St-Laurent borough of Montréal for $56.7m, Green Street News can reveal.
The valuation for the 235,000 sq ft building at 1585 Beaulac Street works out to $242/sq ft. The sale closed on Oct. 28. The seller was developer Montoni, which built the facility in 2022.
Mainetti, a global retail supplier, is the sole tenant. The company, which manufactures hangers, packaging, labels and more, moved its Canadian operation to St-Laurent upon completion of the build-to-suit facility. It has offices in 90 locations on six continents.
Montoni, based in Laval, Qué., and led by president and chief executive Dario Montoni, has completed nearly 700 projects representing over 30m sq ft of industrial, commercial, institutional and residential construction.
