MARQUEE Development Partners are moving forward with their boutique Kirra beachfront apartment project in Coolangatta.
Monterey Kirra Beach will comprise 35 three-, four- and five-bedroom premium apartments, including penthouses, across 14-levels at 4-6 Musgrave Street.
The 1,163 sqm site is currently occupied by a roughly 50-year old apartment block, with Marquee acquiring the all 15 existing apartments to amalgamate the site over the previous two years, making way for new development on one of the last remaining Kirra beachfront sites.
“We believe this is the best site available in Kirra today. No other remaining site offers this much beach frontage, so it’s quite unique and well worth the significant effort from our end to acquire the property.” said Azura Griffen, sales manager at Marquee Development Partners.
Set to launch officially in April, Marquee has already fielded multiple expressions of interest offers from potential buyers for Monterey Kirra Beach.
“Buyers have been closely monitoring our progress with this project, several of which are familiar with the high quality marquee developments and how quickly they have been selling out,” said Griffen.
The Brisbane-based Ellivo Architects-designed apartment project will include around 45 metres of north-facing beach frontage in what will mark Marquee’s 10th Gold Coast development over the past four years.
“With all apartments enjoying a north-facing aspect, residents will enjoy vistas that capture sunrises over Snapper Rocks and sunsets behind the Gold Coast skyline,” added Griffen.
The Kirra location offers future residents easy access to a range of hospitality and entertainment offerings in an emerging cafe and restaurant scene.
“Buyers have been closely monitoring our progress with this project, several of which are familiar with the high quality marquee developments and how quickly they have been selling out,” concluded Griffen.
Marquee’s other project on the beach, SOL Kirra Beach, also saw high levels of enquiries ahead of launch, fielding more than 1,600 enquiries for the 46 apartment development.
