THE popular Globies Sports Bar and backpackers hostel in Darwin’s CBD has sold for $7 million.
The 2,020sqm site at 97 Mitchell Street is located next to the Darwin Entertainment Centre, and sold with the strong-performing bar and 36-room backpackers’ hostel Globetrotters in operation.
The property’s CBD zoning offers landmark development potential in the long-term, just metres from the waterfront and close to other landmarks including SkyCity Darwin and the Darwin Convention Centre.
The sale price reflected a land rate of $3,465 per sqm.
Real Estate Central Commercial’s Braden Menzies and Daniel Harris sold the property.
