DTZ has opened a new building consultancy division in Perth.
The new division will be headed by Catherine Fenwick, who joined DTZ in August as an associate director after holding a number of senior positions in the commercial property sector, including head of building consultancy at CB Richard Ellis Perth for the past three years.
DTZ’s national director of building consultancy John Preece said was part of its strategy to grow this specialist service offering across Australia and New Zealand.
“We have seen increasing demand for high quality building consultancy services within Perth and recognised an ideal opportunity to expand our already established national Building Consultancy services with a local presence in Western Australia,” he added.
Preece said the team has resulted in a number of new business opportunities including project management roles for the fitout and relocation of KBR and Granherne into 5,300 sqm of A Grade commercial space at the new Century City development at 100 St Georges Terrace.
“We have also secured a similar role for Apache Energy Ltd, who is also relocating to 100 St Georges Terrace and will be taking four floors, totalling around 7,100 sqm,” he added.
