A luxury Gold Coast hinterland in Tallebudgera Valley home has sold at auction for $11.2 million, nearly doubling the previous suburb record.
Dahlia Estate at 53 Gibsonville Street comprises a five-bedroom, four-bathroom home with prestige amenities such as a helipad, tennis court, outdoor gym and resort-style heated magnesium pools.
Having originally listed the property in March via an expressions of interest campaign, vendors Ross and Ashley Hankin moved to auction the property in a new campaign last month, led by Troy Dowker and James Roberts from Kollosche.
“We just believed in the process and got people emotionally invested and let them bid for the keys,” said Dowker to realestate.com.au.
“The auction process can be very beneficial for the seller and buyer. Often the seller can get a price above market value and because the buyer is buying in a public forum, they know exactly where the level is at and where the competition is.”
Justin Nickerson from Apollo Auctions called auction, with bidding beginning at $7 million.
With three registered budders, two bidders ended up vying for the estate, with the auction ending after 22 bids.
Additional features of the property include a cinema room, basketball practice court, barrel sauna, tree-top podium, inground trampoline, swing and play area.
Alongside sustainability features such as underground bore, rainwater tanks, 26kW solar system with 52 panels and 16kW battery back up.
Sitting only 15km or a 20-minute drive from Burleigh Heads Beach, while Man On The Bike Shopping Centre, Meadow Park Golf Course and Tallebudgera Park Golf Course sit within 10km.
“You have the ability to go from the beach to the tranquillity and trees in 15 minutes and you’re still in a major city,” added Dowker.
“The beauty of it is you’ve got great access to infrastructure and schools. Buyers have been resonating with these lifestyle choices.”
The Hankins purchased the 2.19-hectare property for $1.725 million in 2021, before developing the property with designer Jayson Pate in the same year.
Ross Hankin owns boutique residential and commercial construction company HNKN and Ashley Hankin worked to transform the lot into the current luxury estate.
The previous Tallebudgera Valley suburb was set in August 2021 by the $5.3 million sale of a house at 113 Monday Drive.
