SINGAPOREAN co-working space operator JustCo has confirmed its first foray into the Sydney market, taking 4,200 sqm at Dexus’s 175 Pitt Street shortly after it leased four floors on Melbourne’s William Street.
JustCo’s membership base jumped by 42% over 2018, and it announced a US$177 million investment alongside Frasers Property and GIC last year to develop a co-working space platform across Asia.
It signed up for 8,251 sqm at 15 William Street, one of six sites announced as part of its latest growth wave, which also includes Sydney and Seoul.
The 15W lease takes the 40,000 sqm A-grade building, owned by German real estate fund Deka-Immobilien Global, to full occupancy.
JustCo has reportedly signed a deal across 4,200 sqm within the new Riverview House tower at 276 Elizabeth Street, on the busy corner of Flinders Street and opposite Flinders Street station.
Meanwhile, GPT Group has just opened the newest version of its Space&Co. co-working venue at 580 George Street in Sydney’s CBD. The 1,000 sqm space is the second upscaled operation in the building, in response to growing demand across the sector. It replaces the 700 sqm venue on level two, which itself had been expanded from 400 sqm since opening in 2016.
