KNIGHT Frank has sold the Leeton Market Plaza shopping centre in regional New South Wales for $6.1 million.
Knight Frank Wagga Wagga Principal Jill Toohey, who also manages the centre, negotiated the sale to a local private investor.
The vendor was undisclosed.
Located at 1 Acacia St in Leeton, near Wagga Wagga, the 4,828 sqm property is anchored by a Franklins supermarket as well as 19 specialty retailers, including The Reject Shop, Red Rooster, Miller’s and Centrelink. It was completed in 2007.
Toohey said retail assets in Leeton, and the wider Wagga Wagga catchment, are generally tightly held.
“This sale is one of very few shopping centres to have transacted over the last few years in the Wagga Wagga region. A strong price was achieved for the recently developed centre and we are focused on the active management of the asset,” he concluded.
