Leyad has bought a major retail property in Québec City for $66.5m.
Mega Centre Lebourgneuf, at 5600 Boul des Gradins near Autoroute Laurentienne, was purchased from Choice Properties and OPTrust.
According to Choice’s website, the property spans more than 341,000 sq ft and contains 34 spaces. Tenants include Winners, Scotiabank and Staples. There is approximately 17,000 sq ft of vacant space.
The Montreal-based company plans to modernize and expand the property’s retail offerings.
In June, Leyad acquired Garden City Square in Winnipeg and Cornerstone Prince Albert in Prince Albert, Sask., for $126m.
The company’s retail holdings in Québec include the 39,000 sq ft Midway Centre, in Châteauguay.
