COSMETICS label Lush is increasing its presence in Rundle Mall’s Myer Centre, signing a five-year lease over a two-level store.
The new outlet is due to open in late October, and is a marked step-up from its current adjoining 34sqm site.
CBRE’s Julia Pottenger negotiated the lease on behalf of Starhill Global REIT.
“Lush has been trading incredibly well over the past few years from this location but had no option than to relocate to a bigger store,” Pottenger said. “An opportunity presented itself on the adjoining site, formally occupied by GStar, but this was substantially bigger than their standard format store. Given the positive level of sales from the existing store the confidence was there to expand,”
Lush is planning further relocations and refits over the next 12 months further relocations and refits in Kotara in NSW; Chadstone and Swanston Street in Melbourne; and Newmarket and Queen Street in Auckland.
New store openings are also planned later this year in Melbourne’s Southland, Warringah Mall in Sydney and Northlakes in Queensland.
