URBIS has appointed Ben Pollack as its new chief executive officer.
Pollack brings over 17 years’ experience and was most recently a member of PPB Advisory’s executive leadership team, as the head of Strategy and client services.
“It is a great privilege to take on the role of CEO for Urbis Australia. From the outset it was apparent that Urbis is a fantastic business with a palpable drive to deliver outstanding client outcomes. Great clients, a strong culture and exceptional people provide a solid foundation for the opportunities ahead,” Pollack said.
“My immediate priority will be to define the company’s 2020 strategy and further develop a working environment that allows individuals, teams and the firm to reach their full potential,” he added.
Urbis managing partner John Wynne said Pollack will bring experience and energy to bear towards shaping the direction of the business over the coming years.
“Our company has experienced exponential growth over the past few years and with growth comes the need to evolve and meet new business goals. I’m confident that Ben’s experience and leadership will bring fresh and innovative ideas into our business, enabling us to deliver a new era of consulting excellence for our clients,” Wynne said.
Urbis has also made another senior level appointment.
Sydney-based commercial property lawyer, Lisa Chung, is now a non-executive director on the Urbis board.
Chung has served as a partner of Blake Dawson (now Ashurst) and Maddocks. She also serves as a professional non-executive director and chair on boards including APN Outdoor Group Limited, the Benevolent Society, and Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences – Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.
