THE $20 million sale of an estate house in Burraneer Bay has more than doubled the previous suburb record in an off-market deal.
Having last sold for $5.65 million in 2012, 333 Woolooware Road was one of the few remaining street to waterfront estate assets on the Burraneer Peninsula.
Mitchell Wynn and Laura Mckay from Highland Property managed the off-market transaction, which not only broke the $9.1 million record for the suburb set in 2020 in another Highland sale, but broke the $16.3 million sale price record for Sutherland Shire, set in February.
“Burraneer has been primed for a value surge, and we’re witnessing that now with back-to-back records toppling as buyers clamour to secure premium waterfront product,” said David Highland, CEO of Highland Property.
The circa 2,000sqm lot is occupied by a 5-bedroom three-storey home, with water frontage, heated pool, spa, boatshed, remote jet ski dock, slip rails, jetty pontoon and mooring pen, in addition to a gated five car garaging with automatic remote turntable.
“This property epitomises the best of Burraneer luxury, with key waterfront amenity, pristine views, and high end finishes throughout,” said Wynn.
The home comprises expansive lounge and dining areas, a home office, multiple entertaining terraces and fully automated home control system including motorised blinds & curtains plus VRV Air Conditioning, and Control 4 home automation for lighting, audio, security and climate.
“Demand in the prestige market continues to be driven by scarcity of supply, and when coupled with the rarity of one of Burraneer’s last remaining waterfront estates, its no surprise that this home attracted such a substantial figure,” concluded Highland.
