The owner of a rugby apparel manufacturer is looking to sell its Waterloo Region base of operations for $10.5m, Green Street News can reveal.
Steve Wagner, who runs Barbarian Sports Wear, is seeking $315/sq ft for the 33,000 sq ft industrial facility at 575 Trillium Drive in Kitchener. Colliers has the marketing assignment.
Barbarian Sports Wear has manufactured custom-knit rugby apparel in the Kitchener-Waterloo area since 1981. A former rugby player, Wagner purchased Barbarian Sports Wear in 2013 to save it from bankruptcy. He bought 575 Trillium for $2m in 2017, according to provincial property records.
A manufacturer of embroidered apparel for golf tournaments and other athletic events also occupies space in the property.
On 2 acres, the building is over 20 years old. It has two shipping docks with clear heights of 18 feet.
The building is 3 km away from the nearest onramp to the Conestoga Parkway regional roadway, also referred to as Highway 8, which has a connection to Highway 401. Region of Waterloo International Airport is 10 km away.
There is a public bus stop close by on Trillium Drive near Mcbrine Drive.
In recent industrial property deals within the region, Barco Materials Handling sold a warehouse in Cambridge for $34m.
