COMMERCIAL real estate leader Richard Butler, who has sold more CBD office buildings than other agent in Australia, has emerged as the new managing partner of international capital markets at Stanton Hillier Parker.
Butler will partner with Eugene Evgenikos who re-established the Stanton Hillier Parker business in Australia 2019 as part of Hillier Parker International.
Butler brings over 39 years’ experience in commercial real estate, starting his career at Raine & Horne Commercial in 1983 in city sales in Sydney.
He joined Richard Ellis in 1989 and as director city sales and then director Asian marketing. The bulk of his career, 26 years, was at CBRE and then went on to co-found the highly successful INC RE which was sold to Cushman and Wakefield in 2018 after turning over $2 billion plus in deals in less than a year and a half.
Butler has transacted more than $19 billion worth of properties, highlights include Aurora Place in Sydney, 20 Bridge Street Sydney three times and 140 Sussex Street and 80 Clarence Street five times each.
“I’m delighted to be part of building such an esteemed brand in Stanton Hillier Parker. The opportunity is not just domestically but also, internationally in strengthening the Hillier Parker International business. I feel like I’m coming back home, given I worked and cherished my time working with my colleagues at CB Hillier Parker in Europe.” Butler said.
Stanton Hillier Parker’s history dates back 140 years, to 1882 in Sydney when Richard Stanton founded the business developing suburbs of Sydney. The London and global namesake of the business originated in 1896. The businesses grew to become the preeminent global commercial real estate agency throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s.
In 1998 CBRE acquired the Hillier Parker business in the UK and traded as CB Hillier Parker until 2003.
“We are privileged and honoured to have a capital markets supremo in Rick to lead and build our international capital markets operations.” Evgenikos said.
He adds that Stanton Hillier Parker under Hillier Parker International has been re-established under a new agency model to disrupt the global corporate commercial real estate agency model that remains largely unchanged over the last 20 years.
“Over the coming months a number of announcements of marque agents and property appointments are anticipated.” Evgenikos said.
