TOGA has secured the first two tenants for their mixed-use Oxford & Foley development, in customer research start-up Dovetail and renowned croissant operation Lune Croissanterie.
Oxford & Foley at 60, 90 and 120 Oxford Street in Darlinghurst, around 1km east of the Sydney CBD, is being pitched by TOGA as a workplace, retail, creative, and dining destination, delivering commercial office spaces and over 30 retail tenancies.
“We are looking to create a truly unique destination; one that activates the day and night-time economy, as well as fostering art and culture,” said Allan Vidor, managing director of TOGA Group.
Conceived by ex-Atlassian employees, Benjamin Humphrey and Bradley Ayers, Dovetail will become the first commercial tenant at the development, committing to 4,300sqm across four levels of 90 Oxford Street as their new Australian headquarters.
“We’re excited to call Oxford & Foley our new home. When deciding on a location for our next Australian office, we were looking for something unique, where our team could do their best work in a space that will grow with us,” said Humphrey, CEO and co-founder of Dovetail.
“Oxford & Foley is all of that—an environment with creative flair, a rich history where old meets new, a community where work and play blend together, and on Oxford Street, a central part of Sydney culture”.
Meanwhile, Lune will open its first ever Sydney offering after committing to a 300sqm tenancy on the lower ground of 60 Oxford Street.
Lune will occupy a shopfront with a newly restore heritage façade that is due to open in 2023 and connects to the reactivated Foley and Burton Street pedestrian laneways.
“We could not be more thrilled to have secured this marquee space in the beautiful Oxford & Foley development,” said Kate Reid, director and founder of Lune.
“One of the most iconic hospitality precincts in Sydney, the prospect of Lune being in the neighbourhood of many heavyweight Sydney greats in Darlinghurst and Surry Hills is incredibly exciting for us, and we only hope to add to this with our specific brand of buttery delicious.
TOGA recently launched their leasing campaign for the precinct with joint venture partner and have already been fielding strong enquiry levels.
“We are extremely happy to welcome Dovetail and Lune to their new home at Oxford & Foley. This iconic development provides the chance to be part of an exciting new chapter for Sydney and is driving strong interest from the market from a range of tech, creative and cultural organisations,” said Mendy Moss, principal at AsheMorgan.
