WST Property Group will develop its flagship greenfield residential project after acquiring a 240-hectare site in the Hunter Valley.
Mount View Grange is a masterplanned community with 1,500 blocks ranging from 450sqm to 800sqm and is set to deliver more than 1,650 detached homes across three precincts and more than 50 stages.
“We are excited to mark our first residential project in the Hunter Valley, a region that we recognise as Australia’s largest regional economy and a region that is forecast to boost incomes and living standards on the East Coast, making it an ideal location for families and first home buyers,” said Krenalin Moodley, managing director of WST Property Group.
The greenfield site will also comprise a 3.11-hectare retail town centre, while WST will also maintain extensive green spaces, parks and riparian zones, in addition to walking and bike tracks.
“Our goal is to deliver our vision of quality master planned communities to our customers, in regions that provide a wonderful opportunity for families and first time home buyers looking to purchase homes that offer affordability and alluring convenience close to transport, schools, and workplaces,” added Moodley.
Mount View Grange sits below the Broken Back Range in Bellbird North and is within close proximity of schools, childcare facilities, parks, restaurants and leisure activities.
The site is also well placed in close range from Cessnock Town Centre, the Hunter Expressway and the M1.
As the flagship greenfield residential project for the group, whose pipeline is currently comprised of light industrial, business parks, retail town centres, and SEPP 5 retirement living projects, WST Property Group has targeted the Hunter Valley region for its ongoing growth.
The recent census revealed a population of 682,462 across the region, with projects of reaching more than a million residents by 2031.
“For the WST team, this acquisition is an important step forward that aligns with our future and growth strategy, that allows us to continue our credible, track record of creating and delivering projects that make a positive contribution to the community,” concluded Moodley.
