Buyers have come to the party, according to the latest Home Price Guide, sales at auction rose in Sydney and Melbourne last Saturday.
According to Australian Property Monitors, however, property sales in Adelaide fell slightly in Saturday.
Melbourne was the best performer last Saturday, 287 properties went under the hammer compared to 215 recorded in the same period last year.
However, the number of property sales was not significantly higher, 116 properties were sold in Melbourne compared to 103 properties a year ago.
In Melbourne, the total value of properties sold was $34.8 million.
Last Saturday in Sydney, 96 properties were auctioned, a total of 50 properties were sold representing an auction clearance rate of 52.2%.
The total value of properties sold was $19.5 million.
In Adelaide, the number of properties sold increased, however, sales fell slightly last Saturday.
A total 42 properties listed for auction of which 20 were sold, representing an auction clearance rate of 55.9%.
The total value of properties sold was $6.3 million.
