COOMBES Property Group has acquired an O’Connell Street site in Sydney’s CBD for $91 million, adjoining its existing 48 Hunter Street property.
The strategic play now gives Coombes a CBD site of more than 1,000sqm which is a Strategic Density Site under the new Central Sydney Planning Strategy, and is large enough to allow for buildings higher than 55 metres.
The 14-storey 28 O’Connell St building was sold by JLL on behalf of Chubb Insurance, which is moving its headquarters to Grosvenor Place.
