CIMIC’s Middle East-based HLG Contracting has been awarded a $145 million construction contract for the mixed-use Al Garhoud Towers in Dubai.
Cimic Group has a 45% stake in HLG.
Project developer Hasabi Real Estate has entered into an agreement with AccorHotels on the development, following engagement with hospitality consultancy firm Ròya.
The towers will comprise three buildings, conjoined via a mezzanine floor, with 100 serviced apartments and a 250-room 4-star hotel in respective buildings, both operating under the Majlis Grand Mercure brand, and a350-room 3-star Ibis Styles hotel in another tower.
They will also include a reception and lounge area, food and beverage outlets and other communal, as well as three basement levels of house car parking, back-of-house facilities and mechanical, electrical and plumbing facilities.
The project is located in Garhoud near Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates, with construction on the commencing this month and due for completion in the second quarter of 2018.
