JED Harley, Hamish Crouch and Jay Nash are joining Cushman & Wakefield’s new commercial real estate division in Adelaide.
In joining Cushman & Wakefield, Harley is leaving his position at JLL and bringing his more than 12 years of experience in the Adelaide market to heading up the investment sales business.
Crouch, who was also at JLL, and Nash, from Colliers, will lead Cushman & Wakefield’s industrial business, bringing a combined 20 years of experience to their new roles.
“The Australian business has strategically sought to hire a boutique team of industry leading commercial agents, as we actively grow our local presence,” said Simon Fenn, managing director of commercial real estate at Cushman & Wakefield, ANZ.
Cushman & Wakefield are reasserting their presence in Adelaide after the South Australian market’s demonstrate strength for investments since the onset of the pandemic.
“Adelaide had always offered an attractive value proposition for national and international investors relative to our eastern capital cities but it’s outperformance during the pandemic and the fact it now has some genuine economic drivers has solidified its tenure,” said Harley.
Representative of this, Cushman & Wakefield’s capital markets business transacted a record office deal in Q4 2021, selling 25 Nile Street in Port Adelaide to Centuria.
“Adelaide is now considered a mature and alternative decision to Sydney and Melbourne and is forecast to have another record year of major transactions as borders open up and more new capital enters the market from interstate and Asia,” added Harley.
Currently the group’s business in Adelaide includes facilities management, project development services and trade services.
“I am excited to be joining the global powerhouse that is Cushman & Wakefield and am eager to see what our new team achieves this year,” concluded Harley.
