SEKISUI House Australia has secured development approval for the fourth stage of The Orchards, the group’s $1 billion masterplanned community in Sydney’s Norwest.
Stage Four of The Orchards, Veue, will span six buildings ranging from nine to 22-storeys and comprising 583 apartments and an open landscaped recreational space at its core.
“Veue’s design vision compliments The Orchards natural surrounds with residences maximising connection to the landscape and nature. The green of the gardens is drawn into the resident experience,” said Julian Venning, principal of design at Crone Architects.
“A sense of wellness is promoted in the design within the wonderful natural environment. A place to return to from the fast pace of the city to a garden setting for which Baulkham Hills is renowned.”
Sekisui House Australia recently publicly launched Veue, resulting in more than 50 sales worth more than $63 million.
While last July, Sekisui completed its Japanese inspired gold-side building Aire in The Orchards, after selling around $35 million worth of apartments at the Lumia Lux stage of the community in a week.
“Local buyers accounted for over 60% of purchases, with the remaining coming from over 15 Sydney suburbs,” said David Lee, sales manager of apartments and mixed-use developments – The Orchards at Sekisui House Australia.
“There was a diverse mix of buyers from owner-occupiers and downsizers to first home buyers and renewed interest from overseas investors from South-East Asia. This cohort of purchasers recognize the benefits of buying in a well-located area such as Norwest, a north-west growth suburb.”
The Orchards is located around 31km north-west of the Sydney CBD, 600 metres from Norwest Metro Train Station and a short wall to Norwest Marketown and Norwest Business Park.
The masterplanned community, designed by Turner across all five stages, will comprise 1,300 apartments in total.
Future residents will also benefit from EV charging within the resident car, a wellness centre providing a gym and pool.
Veue residents will also be able to entertain up to 100 guests within the adjacent communal function centre, with a concierge service is also available to service the needs of residents.
