- What next Musgrave brings an institutional lens to the team
Charlie Musgrave has joined Cushman & Wakefield as a vice president of office leasing, Green Street News can reveal.
He joined the firm on June 16 and will report to Allison Marsales, president of advisory. His role is based out of the firm’s downtown Toronto office.
The hire comes as office leasing picks up in the downtown core, driven in part by return-to-work mandates. The market reported roughly 784,000 sq ft of positive absorption in Q1, which pushed the vacancy rate down for a second consecutive quarter to 13.7%.
Bringing an institutional lens to the leasing team, Musgrave works with new and existing clients on their office mandates and finds strategic solutions to their space needs.
Musgrave brings over 20 years of commercial real estate experience to Cushman & Wakefield. Most recently, he spent nine-plus years at La Caisse, the pension fund recently renamed from Ivanhoé Cambridge. His most recent work there was as a vice president of leasing for U.S. office and life-science assets. Prior to that he held positions at Cadillac Fairview and CBRE in Canada, the U.S. and Hong Kong.
