MAJOR moving company Allied Pickfords has signed a long-term lease over a refurbished Richlands facility in Brisbane, which will be used for its interstate and international household moving operations and storage.
Knight Frank’s Mark Clifford negotiated the deal for 700 Boundary Road, which has 7,000 sqm of office and warehouse space on a 2.18-hectare site, on behalf of owner Sam Neil.
Clifford said Allied Pickfords moved to the property from another site close by in Richlands due to the efficiencies and operational benefits of the 700 Boundary Road site.
“The site includes more than 8000 sqm of recently resurfaced heavy duty concrete hardstand, which was an attractive feature for the tenant.”
Stock on the market in the south-west precinct has reduced this year. Clifford said tenant enquiry on stock over 5,000 sqm has continued to increase.
“We are expecting several larger existing facilities in the 10,000 sqm to 15,000 sqm size range to be snapped up in the next quarter,” he said.
Allied Pickfords has another Brisbane site, located in Salisbury, that is utilised for local household moving services and business relocations.
