AMALGAMATED Property Group (APG) has been given the green light for its ANZAC Park East mixed-use precinct development in Canberra.
Early construction works for ANZAC Park East (APE) are already underway with the works approval now enabling APG to move ahead with full constructions, ensuring the project stays on track.
APE will also include village food and dining offerings, market-leading end-of-trip facilities, bike paths, and easy access to Commonwealth Park and Lake Burley Griffin.
The precinct’s office building will span nine-levels with around 17,000sqm of NLA with flexible floorplate design for adaptive workplaces and a premium business centre.
“Amalgamated Property Group is on an exciting trajectory. We’ve commenced work on the iconic ANZAC Park East development, preparing to launch our first Build-to-Rent in Canberra, and started construction on the Gold Coast with our landmark residential development ‘Amaya’, all while leading the industry with quality and environmental initiatives at the forefront,” said Phil O’Brien, general manager at APG.
Sustainability initiatives at the precinct will include a 100% electrified plant system, 100% green electricity supply, solar capture and also targeting 5.5 Star NABERS Base Building and 5-star Green Star rating.
Amalgamated has also recently completed and opened its Civic Quarter precinct, with tenants including more than 20 leading organisations, with three new retail premises opened at the precinct.
With APG’s 33-storey Amaya tower currently under construction, alongside another Broadbeach development that will see be released.
In 2023, APG secured four major awards and entered a partnership with a food scrap and waste collection service at their latest developments, Capital Scraps.
The precinct office building is estimated to be completed late 2025.
