Mariner Wholesale Mortgage Trust is now available to investors on Asgard.
MWMT is part of ASX listed company Mariner Financial Limited.
MMML John Thomas said that he was delighted with this distribution tie up, strengthening the Trust’s access to investors.
“The Mariner Wholesale Mortgage Trust provides investors with a consistent and reliable income stream and has received strong support from financial advisors. The Trust was included onto the Asgard master trust and e-wrap after a thorough application and approval process, meeting all of its rigorous criteria,” he said.
The trust is now part of Asgard range of Accounts, which provides investors access to more than 200 individual investments supplied by more than thirty of Australia’s leading fund managers. Asgard currently has $32 billion funds under administration for more than 400,000 individual and corporate investors.
Mariner Wholesale Mortgage Trust invests 100% in Mariner Mortgage Trust, which acts as the underlying trust. Mariner Mortgage Trust offers a solid exposure to the Australian mortgage market and is a joint venture between Mariner Financial Limited and Ashe Morgan Winthrop.
The fund invests in a portfolio of commercial mortgages, cash and short-term securities, and investments are only allowed in first registered mortgages.
“Mariner Mortgage Trust has seen significant growth since its inception and I am sure the support from Asgard, which has been awarded this year’s Assirt/Wealth Insights Service Level Survey as the best platform provider, will strengthen our vision to become the leader in the traditional mortgage investments industry.
“We will continue to seek other distribution opportunities and will work with financial advisors throughout Australia to enhance their awareness about mortgage products. This will be done through our advisor briefings –The changing face of mortgage trusts – the first of which was recently held in Sydney,” added Mr Thomas.
Mariner Mortgage Trust recently received a ‘Strong Buy’ rating from InvestorWeb Research. The trust has also been rated by S&P and Managed Investments Assessments.
