AUSTRALAND is offering Sydneysiders an incentive to get into the market by cuttin home and apartment prices by up to $100,000 during May.
Australand New South Wales acting residential general manager Tony Pizzolato said Australand’s Ready to Move in Home Sale will give a “leg up” to people who have been shut out of the market by Sydney’s chronic housing affordability crisis.
The Sale offers genuine price reductions on more than 150 completed homes and apartments in Australand communities across established suburbs in Sydney’s north, west and south.
The Ready to Move in Home Sale applies to completed properties in the following developments – Botanica, Lidcombe; SeaGreen on the Park, Warriewood; Braemont, Kellyville Ridge; Greenway Views, West Hoxton; Blue Point, Terrigal; Essence of Oatley, Oatley; The Observatory, Hurstville Grove; Russet Place, Forestville; Glebe Harbour, Glebe; and Discovery Point, Wolli Creek.
All properties are finished and ready to move straight into.
Pizzolato said the offer was designed to give homebuyers a genuine opportunity to achieve their home ownership dream by making housing affordable again for Sydneysiders.
New research released by forecaster BIS Shrapnel indicates there will be 29,150 dwelling commencements in NSW in 2006/07, the first time this figure has fallen below 30,000 since 1958/59.
In addition, the Real Estate Institute of Australia said NSW remains Australia’s least affordable location, with 37.2% of family income needed to meet average loan repayments and affordability declining 1.9% last year.
The offer commences on April 26 and concludes on May 30. Australand reserves the right to extend this offer.
