BROOKFIELD has unveiled several new specialty traders that will take up retail tenancies within its $2 billion Wynyard station development.
Multiplex is adding the finishing touches to the 27-level tower Brookfield Place Sydney, which topped out in August. The 10 Carrington Street tower has a total net lettable area of 59,000 sqm and also comprises the restoration of Shell House and 285 George Street.
Priceline will relocate its pharmacy, health and beauty store from 309 George Street to a 365 sqm space on the development’s dual-level retail concourse for eight years, while Australian tea retailer T2 will open a 105 sqm store on the main station thoroughfare, committing to a five-year lease term.
Also signing up are Sydney Barbers and premium florist Flower Train, set to open its fourth Australian store.
They will join other technical athletic apparel brand lululemon and European food hall concept, Locali by Romeo’s within the dual-level concourse.
Looking to establish a new CBD dining destination, Brookfield as also nabbed “sushi-burger” restaurant Gojima the lower ground level, and Edition Coffee, Two Penny Coffee and Sushi Yuzen have also signed on.
In a first for Sydney an innovative new concept store by ST Group will open, designed to merge multiple brands into one store. This includes Papparich, NeNe Chicken, Hokkaido Cheese Tarts, Kurimu plus a bubble tea bar.
“We are thrilled to welcome these diverse retail offerings to the precinct and bring greater convenience to tenants and locals,” Danny Poljak, executive vice president and co-head of Brookfield Properties, said.
The new stores are scheduled to open from July.
NAB has just started its move into the office component of Brookfield Place Sydney with other key tenants including Allianz and flexible workspace operator Hub Australia set to join them. Brookfield recently secured ASX-listed Moelis Australia to 3,800 sqm of office space across levels 26 and 27 of the development, as well as part of level 25 in the main office tower.
