The first luxury apartment development to be built fronting Byron Bay's main beach in 15 years has sold out.
Developer and Flight Centre co-founder Jim Goldburg said since Australia Day the remaining four properties in the Fortyfive Lawson development have been snapped up, taking the total sales to $33 million.
“All Apartments sold at listing price, confirming the strong interest in a limited market.
“While we did receive some interest from international buyers, the majority of the nine apartments have ultimately been purchased by Australian buyers from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane,” he added.
Goldburg said since launching the project the level of interest from buyers was like nothing he had seen before.
“There hasn’t been a development of this quality this close to Byron Bay’s beaches developed in 15 years. So for many buyers Fortyfive Lawson represented an opportunity to secure a very special beachfront property.
“The development is one of the most exclusive new properties to have come on the market in Australia. Last year it broke the record price for an off-the-plan Byron Bay apartment sale after a Brisbane family paid just under $5 million for a four bedroom, 405 sqm penthouse,” Goldburg said.
