- What next Halifax office is temporary until permanent office in the city is secured
Canada ICI has opened a new office in Halifax, Nova Scotia, achieving its goal of representation in every major market across the country, Green Street News can reveal.
The office, which opened on Sept. 3 at 7071 Bayers Road, suite 5009, will serve as a temporary space until a long-term office is secured in the city.
A source at the company said the move is an affirmation of the firm’s plan to place local representatives in the biggest markets across Canada to connect with clients and borrowers. Canada ICI’s primary functions are mortgage origination and asset management.

Staffing the new office are four hires who joined in the past month or so. Managing director Glenn Umlah and Geoffrey Umlah, director of mortgage underwriting, joined from CBRE.
Ian MacInnis, previously with IMAC Capital and Lending, and Matthew Dobbelsteyn, who was at GreenBirch Capital, are directors of mortgage origination.
Canada ICI opened an office in Victoria, B.C., in August at 535 Yates Street, suite 200.
