DEALERSHIP Brisbane Isuzu has spent $16.85 million acquiring a 4.26-hectare site in the Yatala Enterprise Area on the Gold Coast.
The 183 Burnside Road site has 3,993 sqm of building. Colliers selling agents David Brisk and Nick Evans said there was “significant interest in the site as it was in a great position with the opportunity for future expansion”.
The site is approved for up to 16,211sqm of additional gross floor area offering the purchaser an opportunity to transform the site.
Brisbane Isuzu was drawn to the location due to the strong population growth and depth of customer demand from the booming industrial precinct, he said.
Evans said sites in this area are always in demand due to the location and Yatala Enterprise Area being home to well-known occupiers including ALDI, Caterpillar, Woolworths, Australia Post, Stihl, Jeld-Wen, Harvey Norman and Bidfood.
Colliers has transacted over $250 million of industrial assets in the Yatala Enterprise Area in the last two years. In September, a private Gold Coast occupier beat strong competition from major funds and investors around Australia to snare an industrial property in the Yatala Enterprise Area for $11.312 million through the agency.
