CEC Group has sold land parcel in Cairns to an undisclosed retail property developer for $5.9 million.
The site is located on the corner of Draper Road and the Bruce Highway at Gordonvale, south of the Cairns CBD.
CEC Group managing director Roy Lavis said the sale brings the company one step closer to reducing its debt.
“There are numerous other very positive negotiations currently underway. Whilst there are some views that the Cairns economy remains in a slump, we are seeing a lot of very significant national and even international corporations investigating opportunities in this region and this bodes very well for the future,” he concluded.
