HARMONY Beef and Cattle, owned by Chinese group He Sheng, has sold the Mount Fyans farm in Victoria’s western district for $37 million after just two years of ownership.
The 5,908-hectare landholding in Dundonnell is now owned by sheepfarmers Ian and Camilla Shippen.
It had been amassed by the Earl of Stradbroke, Keith Rous, over 25 years before Harmony Beef and Cattle paid around $34 million for its first Australian purchase in October 2016.
The Earl’s grandfather, George Rous, was the third Earl of Stradbroke and governor of Victoria from 1921 to 1931.
Mount Fyans has an attractive reticulated water system, springs, dams and bores, and is highlighted by its 1880s-built eigh-bedroom homestead.
Inglis Rural Property negotiated the sale.
