COLLIERS has appointed experienced healthcare transaction specialist Ian Sanders as its new head of healthcare and retirement living.
Sanders has over 20 years’ experience in the health sector, firstly in a service capacity through banking and finance, and then in a governance capacity working with non-profits in the aged care sector.
Most recently he held roles as head of health at St George Bank and director corporate at NAB Health.
“With a focus on increasing market share and attracting and retaining talent, Ian’s leadership expertise will enable our healthcare and retirement living business to strengthen existing operations and expand capabilities across all services and strategic markets,” said Dwight Hillier, Colliers’ managing director of valuation and advisory services, strategic advisory and healthcare and retirement living.
Sanders said he looked forward to growing Colliers’ healthcare and retirement living business, from agency through to research and valuations.
“The health sector is a target destination for capital and a segment in pursuit of innovation to keep up with rapidly evolving demand.”
In previous executive finance roles, he worked with institutional, corporate and property finance businesses across various markets, with time spent offshore in New York and New Zealand.
