COLLIERS International has appointed Stephen Kidd to head up the expanding retail team in Queensland.
Kidd will take up the role of associate director of retail.
Colliers International’s national director of retail agency Nathan Clark said the appointment of Kidd to oversee the QLD business was an exciting step in the company’s growth strategy.
Clark himself joined Colliers International late last year after heading up Jones Lang LaSalle’s retail operations in Shanghai for two years.
“We see huge potential in the retail sector across Australia, and in particular within Queensland and we are pleased to be expanding our team to meet increasing demand head on,” he added.
Kidd has more than a decade of experience in the retail sector with companies including Hooker Corp and BKF. He was a director of retail sales at Colliers Jardine & Hooker Corporate for six years from 1989 until 1995, before taking on the role of chief executive of family-owned Boltons Furniture.
He has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland and is studying law at the Queensland University of Technology.
