ACTIVE Chinese developer Dahua has launched the first 13 blocks of land within its 14-hectare estate The Ridgeway in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire.
Saturday will mark the release of stage one with lots ranging in size from 550 sqm and priced from $800,000. The development will comprise a total of 133 lots.
The estate is located at 310 New Illawarra Road at Barden Ridge, and was purchased from the Gandangara Local Aboriginal Land Council through a tender process that settled in August.
Dahua Group has quickly boosted its profile and pipeline since entering Australia in 2014. It has already accumulated a pipeline of circa-$4.5 billion in land apartment developments across 17 across in Melbourne and Sydney.
Some stem from sizable acquisitions – in December, it acquired three development sites in Melbourne’s western growth suburb of Point Cook for around $360 million.
The land is set within a national park, with a full size council-owned golf course opposite the site, Lucas Heights Community School adjoining and the Menai Town Centre two kilometres away.
