WELL-known Darwin businessman Grant Farris and a Perth associate have bought the Bullo River Station on the north-western corner of the Northern Territory near the Western Australian border.
The sale price is believed to be around $10 million.
Bullo River is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station and the property occupies a land area of 2,023 sq km and can support a herd of over 9,000 head of Brahman cattle.
The sale included the current 7,000 cattle heads.
The station was sold by Marlee Ranacher and her husband Franz, who acquired the property from her mother, Australian Business Woman of the Year Sara Henderson in 2011 following a legal battle.
The property had been in the Henderson family since 1961.
