Deutsche Bank’s head of origination for EMEA has resigned from the business.
Nick McNair, a managing director at the bank, has begun a period of six months’ gardening leave but is not thought to have lined up a new position.
McNair, who has 25 years’ experience in debt, equity and advisory roles across multiple sectors and jurisdictions, has spent the last 14 years at Deutsche Bank, having joined in 2005. Prior to that he was an associate director at Royal Bank of Scotland for two years, having joined from King Sturge, where he worked between 1997 and 2003.
It is understood that Deutsche Bank is yet to decide whether to appoint a successor to head the five-strong origination team, the most senior of which is Shivam Rastogi, also a managing director.
Deutsche Bank declined to comment.
