THE sale of two development sites on Brentford Road in Brisbane’s Richlands is set to further transform the growth suburb.
Different south-east Queensland developers picked up the 82-106 Brentford Road and 43 & 51 Brentford Road properties from private owners for undisclosed sums.
Matthew Fritzsche of Ray White Special Projects negotiated the sales.
Indigo Group picked purchased the 3.2-hectare 82-106 Brentford Road property, which encompasses two adjoining properties and sold with approval for a 61-lot subdivision.
Indigo Group’s director, Michael Truce, said Richlands is a strong performing suburb, particularly for detached housing.
“82-106 Brentford Rd presented an excellent opportunity to develop an estate of affordablbe family houses with great access to the city, schools and transport. In today’s housing affordability crisis, solutions such as this are more important than ever,” he said. “The estate, Sienna Grove, will feature extensive green spaces, stunning elevations and provides great quality affordable housing which the market is crying out for,”
The 1.56-hectare site of 43 & 51 Brentford Road comprises two adjoining land parcels and was acquired by Impact Homes.
Both of the sites were sold with approval for separate medium-density developments of 35 townhouses, for a total of 70.
Fritzsche said both properties are zoned Low-Medium Density Residential (Up to 3 storeys). Richlands is located 16km south-west of Brisbane, and is home to Coca-Cola Amatil’s manufacturing plant, which covers 248,960sqm and has two facilities of 50,414sqm and 30,594sqm.
