DARLINGHURST’S $150 million mixed-use development, Dominion, is offering new retail spaces.
Ranging from 160 sqm to 280 sqm, the four prime retail spaces are located on the corners of Forbes, Burton, Bourke and Burton Streets.
They are being offered for sale through Wilmot Retail Property Services.
Dominion will have 109 luxurious apartments on a triangular 4,488 sqm site bounded by Forbes, Burton and Bourke Streets. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2012.
In addition to being surrounded by densely-populated affluent neighbourhoods, established restaurants, cafes, boutiques and galleries, Dominion retail is adjacent to The National Art School and within 100 metres of St Vincents Hospital, Taylor’s Square and Oxford St.
Wilmot RPS Jonathan Wilmot believes the high-visibility spaces would be ideal for cafes, delis, bars and food service operations, pointing to such successful nearby restaurants as Christine Manfield’s Universal, Lucio Pizzeria, Verde Restaurant & Bar, La Brasserie and The Balkan.
He added that it could potentially suit a beauty salon, spa, art gallery, design studio, and even a boutique office.
“Darlinghurst already has a thriving food and bar scene, but it will get a further boost when the lifestyle-savvy residents move into Dominion.
“These very limited retail spaces are in a brand new, high-quality residential complex and represent a ‘blank canvas’ opportunity for a sophisticated food and beverage professional,” he concluded.
