ONLINE dating website eHarmony has leased a whole office floor in the heart of George St in the Sydney CBD.
The online matchmaker has leased 145 sqm of space at 10/387 George St in a deal negotiated by Ray White Commercial office leasing director Anthony Harris on behalf of owner Peter Georges. eHarmony has taken out a three-year lease at a gross rental of $650 per sqm per annum.
387 George St, known as Georges House is also home to online website ancestry.com and was previously occupied by Walt Disney.
“We are seeing strong demand from a plethora of website and technology companies all seeking unique creative space that they would otherwise find in Surry Hills but they now want to be in the hub of the Sydney CBD business community.
“Lease incentives are not the key drivers for these transactions but rather a provision of on-site amenities, character features and flexible lease terms allowing these tech tenants to grow as they expand,” Harris said.
Level 6 at 387 George St is currently vacant and for lease at $525 per sqm per annum gross.
