THE Victorian government has offloaded the former Doveton North Primary School site to Ilim College of Australia for $4.2 million.
Fitzroys’ Dean Alexander and Peter Weatherby negotiated the sale of 25-35 Rowan Drive, Doveton, following a public tender campaign.
The island site has a land area of 20,420 sqm approx, with a frontage of in excess of 570m. Improvements include a school hall, classroom buildings, storage area and office building. It is in close proximity to the Marantha Christian School and Doveton Secondary College.
“We received approximately eight tenders for the property, which was sold in excess of the reserve price.
“Half of the enquiries came from occupiers looking to use the property as a school. Utilising the existing buildings on site, and the other half were looking to us the property for residential development,” Alexander said.
