FRASERS Property Australia is launching a new precinct within its green-focused Burwood Brickworks development next month, which will feature 78 detached and semi-detached family homes.
Plans for the $500 million-plus Burwood Brickworks, in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, also include around 700 dwellings, community facilities, 2.5 hectares of open space and two large public spaces connected to an urban plaza adjoining a shopping centre complete with a rooftop urban farm and restaurant.
The 12,900 sqm “super-neighbourhood centre” is on track to open later this year and is aiming to be the world’s first retail development to achieve Living Building ChallengeTM certification.
Sustainability features in the homes will include solar panels fitted to every roof, water saving fixtures and green master switches built-in. Frasers said The Reserve Homes are 25% to 28% more energy efficient than a standard compliant home, saving owners up to $496 on energy bills per year.
The first 22 homes in The Reserve Homes release range from $1.1 million to $1.365 million in price, and will be available from June 8.
The development has so far seen all 16 land lots, 245 apartments and 77 townhouses sold.
