CHINESE furniture manufacturer GCON Furniture has bought an industrial facility in Acacia Ridge for $2.3 million to accommodate their business expansion.
Colliers International’s senior executive of industrial Levi Maxwell said company will relocate to the 2,014 sqm vacanct facility at 1 Success St Acacia Ridge from 94 Bonafice St, Coopers Plains.
“The property attracted 17 enquiries, majority of which were owner occupiers from south Brisbane. There was only one local tenant enquiry which highlights the current trend of buying instead of leasing due to the increased business confidence, particularly amongst the mid tier businesses.
“GCON furniture leased the warehouse in Coopers Plains and thought it was great time to buy, doubling their size for storage and distribution of furniture. This B Grade facility was snapped up reasonably quickly due to the lack of available facilities for sale in the area,” Maxwell said.
The metal clad high bay warehouse features 42% site cover providing excellent hardstand, four container height roller doors and dual driveway crossovers with 23 onsite car parks. The warehouse comprises 321 sqm of office accommodation on the ground floor as well as staff amenities.
