LISTED for $24.85 million, this waterfront estate is set to smash the Gold Coast’s recent price record set by Clive Palmer.
Located on a 1,411sqm deep double block at 7-9 McMillan Court in Southport, the American-style estate has been designed in the style of classic Hamptons homes by architect to the Brunei royal family, Bayden Goddard.
Special approval was granted to construct a four-level residence in the enclave, with resulting home boasting 21 metres of water frontage on the Nerang River and skyline views.
The expansive home measures 1,763sqm and includes five-bedrooms, seven-bathrooms and parking for six, delivered over a two-year build.
Michael Kollosche, Sam Guo and Julia Kuo from Kollosche have been appointed to manage the campaign.
The home is expected to eclipse the record set just over a week ago on 16 February by billionaire businessman and politician Clive Palmer.
Palmer dropped $28 million in the off-market purchase—managed by Amir Mian from Amir Prestige—of a beachfront three-title block at 41-45 Hedges Avenue in Mermaid Beach.
The circa 1,214m Hedges Avenue property was formed by lotteries promoter David Kennedy and boasts 30 metres of sand beach frontage and a 25-metre lap pool, four-bedrooms, four-bathrooms and a basement garage for five to six cars.
The Gold Coast has experienced significant value growth over recent years, reaching a $1 million median house price for the first time at the 2023, up 4.6% for the quarter.
